Hillcrest Church
With the start of a new century, Hillcrest embraced a refreshed motto that honors its legacy while shaping its future: Loving Christ, Building Community. This motto encapsulates their mission, and we wanted to create a logo that fits historically with their rich story.
BEFORE

AFTER

Hillcrest was established as a church in 1918 and grew quickly. They purchased a theater building in 1924 and have been in that building ever since. This Art Deco-style building is rich in history, and we wanted to design a logo that would fit the space's architecture and styling. The space features beautiful stained glass windows that house a small crown that goes almost unnoticed within the design.
This collaborative design with local designer, Marty Davis, was a great homage to the past while embracing the future. The interior of the space was redesigned to fit this aesthetic as well. We brought in fine line work from Art Deco and updated furniture and lighting to match the period.
